The Mission Statement of the Methodist Church
The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission.
Worship in the Methodist Church
The Church uses many forms of worship in order to:- give praise to God in Christ through the Spirit
- open itself to God's transforming love
- receive and reflect on the gospel of God's ways in the world
- offer itself to share in God's costly action in the world.
The beliefs of our church
The beliefs of our church are summarised:- in the traditional creeds of the church
- and in the evangelical doctrines of the faith as contained in John Wesley's 44 sermons and his notes on the New Testament.
Theological Emphases
The Methodist theological emphases are often summarised as:- All people need to be saved.
- All people can be saved.
- All people can know they are saved.
- All people can be saved to the uttermost.
